“For Unto Us a Child is Born”

The prophet Isaiah prophesied “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).

Elohim, God our Father, gave us a gift, the gift of His Only Begotten Son, even Jesus Christ. Christ gave us gifts:
1. Unlimited capacity to love
2. Repentance
3. Forgiveness
4. Resurrection
5. Opportunity for Eternal Life

“For this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3).

Christ’s sacrifice was a self-sacrifice. Christ’s greatest gifts to us – His life and sacrifice. Shall we not do likewise? Give our lives and sacrifice worldly things for things of a greater.

The Father GAVE His only begotten Son.
The Son GAVE His own life.
We can GIVE our time and talents and love.

Eternal Life

” And, if you keep my commandments and endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of God” (D&C 14:7)
