Random Acts of Kindness
The Bible Club of HPIAM enjoyed an inspiring lesson on Thursday regarding Loving One Another. We discussed the first and second greatest commandments which are to love God and then love others. Members were challenged to do a little more to extend a hand of fellowship and kindness to others.
Members were admonished to participate in the February 17 National Random Acts of Kindness Day, which is celebrated throughout the United States.
For 2015 May 7 is the National Day of Prayer. The first Thursday of May is designated as the annual National Day of Prayer. This year’s theme is 1 Kings 8:28
“Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O Lord my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day.”
Today, like never before, we need to pray to God, Our Father, in the name of His Beloved, Son Jesus Christ. We must pray without ceasing to Him by having a prayer in our hearts at all times. We must utter a sincere prayer of gratitude and pleading each morning, noon, and at night. We depend upon Him for all our blessings. The world and society have and are turning away from God and God is not pleased; hence, famine, war, pestilence, anger, division, lovers of sin more than lovers of God.
In today’s world we are living in the perfect fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy recorded in Isaiah 5:20-21
20 ¶Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
May we “trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
Clark Adams experienced a New Beginning on July 26, and as a result, today a Memorial Service was held in behalf of Clark Golden Adams, Jr. Clark passed away on July 26, 2014, while attending a family reunion in Utah. He is survived by his wife, Jill, three daughters, his father, and a sister. Clark is now in the Spirit World, where the spirits of all people go when they experience death-the separation of the spirit and physical body. In holy temples of the Lord, covenants and ordinances are made to enable a person to live forever in the presence of God.
“And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise.”
(Book of Mormon – Moroni 7:41)
School is out for most students, and they are now enjoying “The Good Ole Summer Time.” It is a time to relax, read, evaluate the past year’s peaks and valleys, make plans for the new school year, to read Life Planning Goals daily, to take a college course, attend summery school, take an online class, travel, play sports, hike, or do a multitude of activities.
Enjoy it while you can, because before you know it, you will hear the school bell ringing and it will be time to report back to school.
Above all, remember to always CHOOSE THE RIGHT 24/7.
